Federal Internship for Newcomers
FIN-YESS 24-25 Program
The Federal Internship for Newcomers - Youth Employment Skills Strategy (FIN-YESS) program is an initiative designed to help and support SRP alumni and new graduates who are interested in a career in the Canadian public sector.
The program is created as a partnership between World University Services of Canada (WUSC), World Skills Employment Center, and Ottawa Community Immigrant Services Organization (OCISO).
The FIN-YESS program provides WUSC alumni who are interested in a career in Canada's public sector with the required training to apply for Federal internships, which allow them to gain valuable paid work experience.
The initiative will provide support in career development, one-on-one access to employment counsellors, access to mentors and more!
This program is an initiative funded by IRCC and delivered online and in-person (for those who live in Ottawa).
